Bluff Yamaha Perpetual Trophy Night" for the Red Bluff Outlaws Dirt Sprint Kart

a Perpetual Trophy Night. Robert Carrel, owner of Red Bluff Yamaha, has stepped up to take
responsibility for the prestigious presentation. This included replacing the decades old 6

The
Red Bluff Outlaws' series are very special to the entire Carrel family. They were
the original inventors and promoters of the sport. It is a sport that spread like
wildfire across the country with new tracks popping up in every state and region, and is
now spreading to Canada, Australia and Europe. Robert's father Bob Carrel, along
with friends and family began racing go-karts on dirt during the off season of stockcar
racing. The sport grew rapidly into an local institution that has seen over
5,000 racers and their families and friend become involved with. The high tech karts
appeal to anyone who loves fast, close racing. Kids as young as 5 years old up to
people over 60 show up each week to race the series. The largest karts can clock
over 70mph on the 1/10th mile oval dirt track. And for all their speed and action
are amazingly safe, thanks to Bob and Robert Carrel who created QRC Karts - the premier
manufacturer of outlaw karts. Their passion for the sport shows in their dedication
to the safety of the drivers and their focus to make this a family sport.
Team Yamaha riders, Robert Noftz and Garrett Jones were on hand to sign autographs and
help present trophies. Scroll down for complete press release...

YAMAHA SUPPORTS LOCAL MOTORSPORTS
There is a new Yamaha dealership in town - just at the end of Antelope Blvd - who is more
than just a purveyor of motorcycles, ATVs and motocross gear, they are deeply dedicated to
local motorsports and the local racers. This weekend the new Red Bluff Yamaha presented
its first annual "Red Bluff Yamaha Perpetual Trophy Night" for the Red Bluff
Outlaws Dirt Sprint Kart series at the Pauline Davis Pavilion. The indoor karting series
is in its 28th consecutive season running at the Tehama District Fairgrounds and for 20 of
those years there has been a Perpetual Trophy Night. Robert Carrel, owner of Red Bluff
Yamaha, has stepped up to take responsibility for the prestigious presentation. This
included replacing the decades old 6 ft tall trophies which have served as the symbol for

With the success of QRC Karts Robert has now ventured into his other passion, motorcycles,
by opening Red Bluff Yamaha this year. The beautiful new showroom carries everything
Yamaha - from dirt bikes to road and touring bikes to ATVs both utility and sport and
racing models. Plus they have a complete parts and service department. Robert invited 2
members of his Red Bluff Yamaha Motocross Team down to Saturday's events to sign
autographs and meet the other racers. Robert Noftz and Garrett Jones handed out hero
cards, signed autographs and helped present the trophies to the winners of the evening's
races.
There are six racing division that run qualifying laps to determine placement in heat
races which are then used to determine starting positions in the main events all which
lead up to the A Main Feature Event in each division. More than 150 racers turned out to
compete for the 6 5ft. tall Perpetual Trophies, and they put on a demonstration of some of
the best racing in years, proving why so many racers who started competing have gone on to
be some of the top names in racing of all kinds. From the ranks have come NASCAR stars,
World of Outlaw stars, USAC, BCRA, and others. In fact, it was NASCAR driver Ryan Foster
how took home the Perpetual Trophy for the Open 500 Division - the premier class of the
sport.
During the winter Foster, like so many other racers who compete nationally, return to
their roots of Outlaw Kart racing to keep in shape and hone their driving skills. The
experience they gain at this tight bullring track can be carried to nearly any other
racing where it will prove invaluable.
A rundown of the winners shows the diversity of racers and how far people travel to
participate every week for so many years.
